Terms of Service

By signing up, accessing or using Edula School Hub, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Edula School Hub provides tools for schools to manage classrooms, attendance, homework, communication, fees, transport, health records, clubs, library, alumni and analytics. The service is provided on a subscription or trial basis and may change over time as we add, improve or remove features.

Schools create and manage accounts for their staff, parents and students. Each user is assigned a role (for example, school admin, teacher, parent or student) that controls what they can see and do. Users must keep their login credentials secure and must not share accounts. Schools are responsible for ensuring that roles are assigned appropriately and that former staff are removed promptly.

You agree not to use Edula to:

• Upload or share unlawful, harmful, defamatory, discriminatory or sexually explicit content.
• Harass, bully or discriminate against pupils, parents, staff or other users.
• Attempt to access data belonging to another school or user without authorisation.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape or interfere with the platform’s infrastructure.
• Send spam or unsolicited commercial messages through the platform.
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

Each school owns its data and is responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and appropriate use of the information it enters into Edula. This includes obtaining necessary consents for pupil data, respecting copyright when uploading media, and complying with local education and data-protection laws.

Edula is offered through subscription packages described on our pricing page. Fees are billed according to the selected package and billing interval. Mobile-money payments are processed directly through MTN MoMo and Airtel Money networks in Uganda. Schools are responsible for ensuring that payment details and invoice records are accurate.

Our use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Edula processes school data on the school’s instructions and implements technical and organisational measures to protect it.

Edula owns the platform, its code, designs, trademarks and documentation. Schools retain ownership of the content they upload. By uploading content, schools grant Edula a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

A school may cancel its subscription at any time through the platform settings or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, if required by law, or if the account remains inactive and unpaid for an extended period. Upon termination, data may be retained or deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Edula is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify schools of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through the courts of Uganda.
